Hi, my name is Jenny and I am a Qualified Counsellor with a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their ethical framework. Previously, I have been a volunteer counsellor and befriender for Age UK. Currently I am a volunteer counsellor for Elleanor Hospice.
I am a person-centered counsellor and I believe that we are all unique, have value and have the ability to grow and change. I have been extremely fortunate to have worked in varying areas alongside people from all walks of life, gifting me with a colourful lens. Together we can talk and explore ways that can assist to untangle, find solutions and new perspectives to your focus.
For those not comfortable being face to face, I also offer a safe and confidential service via either Telephone or on-line using Zoom. Availability hours to be negotiated.
Working together to identify your goals in and for therapy. This is an individualised area and can be viewed within assessment and review periods. However, I do track session progress of therapy and actively seek feedback to ensure we are working together to meet your goal and direction. I offer short term, long term and one off consultation sessions.
I offer a free 20 min phone consultation on inquiry to answer questions or concerns you may have regarding attendance to therapy. During our call we can talk briefly about your concerns and I will also ask some relevant assessment questions regarding the undertaking of therapy. This gives you the opportunity to determine more easily if you would like to book an appointment and your favoured format; Telephone, Video Call or Face to Face.

For therapeutic effectiveness, you need to feel comfortable with your counsellor. Therefore, our initial free 20 minute discussion is an introduction to whether we can work together. I will not attempt to assist you in areas that are above my professional limits of ability. In such cases, and if deemed necessary, we can discuss together a referral to another professional.
